Integrity ~n~ Proverbs. Proverbs 25:14
Ted Kennedy Dies of Brain Cancer at Age 77, August 26, 2009. The lion of the U.S. Senate for 46 years suffered a seizure in May and had brain surgery in June. He was praised by Democrats and Republicans alike. President Obama called the senator the “greatest legislator of our time.”, “the passing of an extraordinary leader.” Vice President Biden said “today we lost a truly remarkable man.” He will be forever remembered voting no on a constitutional ban of same-sex marriage and for late-term abortion. His life was shadowed at Harvard, the accident at Dike Bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, the famous rape trial in South Florida, and his personal destruction of jurist Robert Bork. Mr. Kennedy will be buried at Arlington with full military and Congressional honors. Was Senator Ted Kennedy a man of integrity?
What did the wisest man in the entire world have to say about Integrity? Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain. Proverbs 25:14
Integrity is his code of morality, ethics, and values. He is one whose virtuous convictions never waver under pressure or promotion. A person of integrity is the same today, as he was yesterday, and will be tomorrow. He believes the truth will set him free when hammered from those who will lift up their heel against him. The soundness of his faith will enable him to complete his journey in life without failure. He stays focused, unimpaired, and blameless in actions and deeds. Integrity, what a word!
Honesty is his way of life. Hypocrisy is banned from his house. Honesty gives what he possesses and becomes what he professes. Dishonesty is a disgusting trait of life. He comes and works will be known, his clouds are always full of rain, and his compassion is received in good will. Integrity defines.
Audacity underlines his character. He is confident and persuasive in his mannerisms. He does not go out without having humbleness as his clothing, the Holy Spirit as his compass, and the Holy Bible as his companion. Integrity will never fail.
Fidelity shields his activity. He is not afraid to sow in the wind, rain, or storms. He believes in God and the divine call upon his life. One who knows his responsibilities will be checked at the end of the day with words, well done! Integrity is purpose driven.
Security is his peace. He is persuaded what he has committed to God will enable him to stand before God having the promises of heaven. He has been saved by the blood of Christ, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and secured by grace. Integrity assures.
It seems to me we should weigh the words unto the man they speak well of!
