A strong hold in the day of trouble. Nahum 1:7

Sonny Perdue, Governor of Georgia, has asked President George Bush for help as his state descended deeper into water shortages because of a drought. His next move was calling on lawmakers and ministers to join him on the steps of the Capitol and ask help from a higher power for rain—the Lord.  Bob Riley, Governor of Alabama issued a proclamation declaring in July as “Days of prayer for Rain” to “humbly ask for His blessings and to hold us steady in times of difficulty.” (AP—Greg Bluestein, Nov. 12, 2007)

Nineveh, that exceeding and great city that came to her knees under the preaching of Jonah and repented in sack cloth and ashes became a bloody city full of lies and robbery. God raised a prophet by the name of Nahum to say this about Nineveh: And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. Nahum 1:14; There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually? Nahum 3:19

God one day will destroy this world as He did the great city called Nineveh and clean up its garbage that the Devil and his cronies has left having ransacked it for centuries to established a new heaven and new earth. It will be a time of His wrath with unparallel cataclysmic proportions that can be only compared only to the world-wide flood. The time is coming when the rider on the pale horse called Death and Hell will unleash such hellish fury upon all men and beast leaving billions dead. The Bible says that the sun will be blacken and the moon will be as blood as earthquakes will rock this world from wall to wall that will cause every rich man to every poor man to cry out for the mountains and the rocks to fall on them and hide them from the face of Him who sits on the throne. For the grate day of his wrath has come and who shall be able to stand.

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum 1: 7

The LORD is good, to provide covering and protection to those living in these times by giving them robes that have been washed and made white in the blood of the lamb. In the midst of the worst upheaval, the Lord is good!

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; His hand is not shortened that it can not save. By His hand came the deliverance of Peter as he was sinking into the sea. By His hand came life back into Jairus’s daughter. And by his nail pierced hands comes salvation to all that will call upon His name. His hand is a strong hold in the day of trouble.

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. The Lord knows all His children by name, those who have reposed faith in Him. Those who trust Him is known by Him. He will hold us steady in times of difficulty during the winds of His wrath. He says: Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knows not. Jeremiah 33:3
